The ONE STATE SOLUTION !

There is a way forward to solve this problem in Gaza that doesn’t involve killing non combatants. It was used in the guerilla war between the boers and the British in 1900.. and it worked .

 It meant that non combatants were placed in camps which later became known as concentration camps .

 I don’t advocate of course building concentration camps but more reconciliation or SAFE camps on the West Bank that will keep innocents out of harms way and they cannot be used as pawns in a war game between two foes who hate each other to the point of genocide . 

The West Bank is still considered Palestinian territory. 

Therefore it is not another country and they have a right to return to their homes after the conflict ends .

 My question is why is there’s a lack of IMAGINATION ? 

Think about how the Kurds - the Yasidis - the Bakra -the Copts  have been treated and other Muslims across the Middle East by their own ?

All these atrocities have taken place in the last 100 years including in Armenia … that is clear . Even today Christian’s are not guaranteed security in Muslim held areas of Palestine territory eg Nazareth or Gaza or Bethlehem .. are Muslims respected as equal citizens in Israel ? With their religious sites respected ? On the whole - yes . Even the holiest site of Judaism sits on a building that Jews cannot enter but maybe once a year - thanks to moshe Dayan . But in other parts of the Holy Land it is hard for Jews to come and venerate these places eg Jebel Serbal in the Sinai . It is the right of ALL nations to be able to come to these sacred places and for the indigenous peoples to stay unmolested  in these cities . Does that happen everywhere right now ? No .. it does not . And until it does there will be no two state solution there have to be a CONFEDERATION of the states of Israel And Palestine . This is the TRUE path to peace . Having two flags representing two states but having one land . One that both can live together in peace . 

But let’s go to the current debacle … 

 Why can’t the Israelis just bus them to these SAFE camps away from the war and prosecute the ones who perpetuated the October 7 atrocity ? It appears that nobody wants peace . Nobody wants to END this war . Instead children are poisoned to get one terrorises in UN sponsored schools … That must stop. 

Nobody wants to return the hostages . Mr Netanyahu says that the idea of a Palestinian state is now dead in the water because he is a security pm . That’s why he got voted in several times . 

The majority of Israelis do not want this war. But they are prosecuting it because they don’t want to live in insecurity . What we are genuinely seeing is what is known as the HOLOCAUST SYNDROME . 

That is why it is an endless conflict . Until you can say .. ok we accept your existence - do you accept ours ? There will be no two state solution . It’s as simple as that . The second thing to do is to sit around a table with every stakeholder and work it out . Personally I think as a South African once you have established a secure situation between the two forces that hate each other you should create a federated state of Israel and Palestine that guarantees the rights and privileges of both parties . Will we get there ? 

It seems a long way off right now but this rhetoric on both sides about one occupying the other is totally false . Herodotus called it Syria Palestine - in the biblical times of Moses it was cannaan and philistinia - the West Bank was judea and Samaria . So in truth there has been a Jewish presence in this land ever since the Hebrews crossed from Sinai to the promised land . And I know most anarchists don’t believe in God but this is a historical fact . The second thing is that practising Judaism means living on the land of your ancestors . The prophets and the saints . Every rock you touch is part of your history - just like the First Nations of the Lakota and the Hopi . It’s ALL sacred . When I follow in the footsteps of Jesus or Moses or David I see it clearly the events of the bible what is written and what is in front of my eyes and I can touch . Elisha spring in Jericho .  

Or Carmel where Elijah brought fire from the heaven or the valley of Armagiddo . These things are revered by Jews first then the Christian’s second and thirdly by Muslims themselves . They believe it too . Talk to them . But to be bullied into one or the other this is not the path to peace . A real peace . They all believe in the coming of the messiah .. a spiritual transformation that takes place within the heart and to be fulfilled or WHOLE - in Hebrew this word is SHALOM - and this wholeness is the hope of every believing Jew and Christian living on the land . The Muslims believe in the return of Christ too . 

Ideologically you cannot look at a solution in the secular sense in the holy land - it must be in a spiritual sense that you see it . And this means that Jew and Muslim and Christian become ONE NEW MAN in Messiah or Christ . Or God . And yes even Muslim . Let’s talk not about nation states . This was the big error of the PEEL commission in 1937. They couldn’t see a way that all three could live together . We too didn’t see it in 1994 in South Africa 🇿🇦 - but we preferred living on peace than swimming in rivers of blood . And so we decided to do that . Until there is peace and reconciliation and GOD in the equation in the Holy Land - there cannot be peace. The two state solution cannot therefore work . It must be ONE ! What you call it is secondary . But security must be guaranteed for the indigenous peoples of the land no matter what they believe in . It is a land that belongs to its indigenous people that see it as part of their faith . It is not the land of those who do not . 

History and the facts show is otherwise . There are TWO narratives and the only way forward to reconcile these two is a THIRD narrative hashed out regionally with Jordan - Syria and Lebanon - in fact the entire Arab league and the principal European nations if France- England and the USA - ultimately it comes to this … we can all live SEAMLESSLY in peace if the people of both entities and narratives include the rights of the other . As long as you reward terrorists - no matter who they are - and TEACH HATE AND FEAR of the other you will not see a solution . It comes down to this - what can everyone GIVE ? 

To stop this war we must stop this killing and hypocrisy of the ones who say they care but do not understand the root causes of this conflict . 

“If we factor God and religion and faith out of a permanent solution you will not find a political one ! “

Perhaps the future of the Holy Land lies in a rainbow gathering or ingathering of tribes around one single sacred fire....as we have already demonstrated in the last 40 years. It can happen. We have proved it. In Jordan outside wadi rum in 2007. Jews and Arabs together. The Palestinian mandate included a possibility of a state called Palestine... But our friend Churchill turned it into.the state of Jordan - despite 60 % identifying themselves as Palestinian. Imagine if mutual respect existed now. That the British gas simply given half the land to be a state of Palestine and the other half Israel. But it did not. As it exists now I do not see Judea and Samaria returning to the state of Palestine . Nor even Gaza. It has to be under federated or confederated administration. Free travel. Seamless travel between the two. But that cannot happen until the Palestinians themselves change their own charter. Citizenship of one country or another means responsibility too. Security. No more killing. 

Inevitably everything leads to armed conflict a rivers of blood. Imagine if Jordan became Palestine from the river to the sea. The red sea. Would that make everyone happy ? Probably not. And what about the Sinai? What about the deal.of the venturyb- a 5 km strip of land next to Gaza. Desert. Could that be a Palestinian state ? Doubtful. Or southern Lebanon or Syria. No... The only political.solutuim is to divide Jordan which was party of the Palestinian mandate in the first place and some of the west bank in the north up to Jericho. The southern part of Jordan could either remain Jordanian from the dead sea until aquaba. 

Or this could be given to the Palestinians. Somehow joining up.at the Allenby bridge . But which ruler would give up.his lands for the sake of peace ? Jordan also includes part of ancient Iraq. Certainly lands from Jordan could be given to the Palestinians to make up a larger Palestinian state. And once peace is restored everyone would benefit. The borders between Jordan and Palestine could be open. And perhaps later even Israel. But the land of Judea belongs to the Jews. Historically this is a certain fact. Jordan was and is an artificial state ruled by a family appointed by the British to rule. If Iraq would give up.more if it's land and even Saudi Arabia.. and they can all share the ports of aquaba... Yes ... We could finally have a one state for all solution. But endless fighting is not the answer.
